Hi there. Here we go.
I'm pretty much a home-bug - I prefer to watch movies or amazingly amazing reality TV than go to a club. Though sometimes, you've just gotta dance. I was born in Brooklyn, NY, moved to the Chicago suburbs at 7 and moved to Los Angeles at 21. The first play I did was in 2nd grade - I was a Mozart Mouse. My first leading role was in 4th grade in the play about the history of telecommunications, Heard it Through the Grapevine. Guess those plays were super awesome, because I was hooked.
I went to Northwestern University and studied acting under Ann Woodworth. Afraid to face the life of artistic strife ahead, I tried to be Pre-Med, as well. Though it lasted for two and a half years. However, when I realized that I would need to drop physics (and thus pre-med) in order to take the puppetry class offered once every three years, I never looked back. And here I am.
In LA, I currently study with Lesly Kahn in her ongoing class. In the past, I studied with Robert Carnegie and Tracy Aziz at Playhouse West, and was there for almost three years. I have taken improv at UCB and ComedySportz (Chicago). I have a few dialects up my sleeve, and have taken classes for that fun stuff as well.
I also do a decent amount of voice over, which is totally unexpected.
But enough about work! I love dogs, chocolate, and am the youngest of 3 children. I play the violin! I horseback ride (when I can find a horse to hop on). My brother just recently moved to Southern California with his family, which is super nice for me (selfish). And my sister is living with her husband in Brooklyn, NY. Back to our roots, is what that's called. My very New York parents are still in Hinsdale, complaining about the distance. I go through phases with hobbies. I used to cook. Now I'm on to knitting. And I love to teach.
